With the decision of our University Senate, students were given the right to two additional exams to cover the spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. Due to the fact that there are students with and without practice courses in this situation, the process is left to the authority of the department chair between the start of the 2022-2023 Spring semester and the last day of the Spring semester make-up exams, within the framework of the principles stated below.

Considerations Regarding Additional Exams
Students who will benefit from the additional examination right must pay the contribution fee between the dates specified in the academic calendar for the 2022-2023 academic year Spring semester, in which they will benefit from the additional examination rights after their application for the additional examination. Students are entitled to two additional exams, covering the Spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, after the semester in which they completed the maximum education period, for all theoretical courses that they failed in the education plan for graduation (the courses they never took; they took F0, FF, FD, DD grades) will be given.
For graduation, only application, laboratory, project, studio, workshop, sketch, design, field, seminar, graduation work, compulsory internship, etc. For all applied courses of the highest quality, students will be given the right to take two additional exams in the spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, after which a 4-week application program will be prepared by the relevant Department Heads.
Students who have only their internship in the education plan or who want to take advantage of additional exam rights due to failed courses along with the internship will be able to complete the internship in the additional exam period by paying the tuition fee/tuition fee of the relevant semester. Compulsory internship procedures, which are in the status of applied course, will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of "YTU Undergraduate Education Internship Application Directive".
Students who do not use the Right to Take the Additional Exam (with a maximum of five unsuccessful courses) have the right to four semesters of additional time, which will start as of the Spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, and these students must apply to the head of the department they are registered until March 10, 2023 in order to take the course by paying the contribution fee. required.
Students do not need to take an additional exam for the extra courses they have taken from the relevant group if they complete the course(s) they are required to take in their elective group. Students who have an extra course(s) taken from the same elective pool will need to apply to the Department Head with a petition containing their request for the deletion of these courses.
Upon request, students who have completed the maximum education period will be given the right to take additional exams for their conditionally successful courses with the DC grade in the education plan. Students in this situation should also apply to raise their grades through the system.
Students who have completed their maximum duration; Additional exams and additional periods are exempted from the grade point average requirement and/or prerequisite limitations determined by the Senate for course selection.
For students who will benefit from additional examination and additional time rights by completing their maximum education period, it is stated in the clause (b) of the 22nd article of the "Yıldız Technical University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education Regulation" that the total credit in the education plan must be at least He/she must be successful in a number of courses that will meet 75% of the exam and his/her CGPA must be at least 2.00.” provision will not be applied.
Make-up programs for applied courses, which are not among the courses to be held online by the faculties, and how the additional exams will be made will be made and announced later, in accordance with the calendar to be announced in April, depending on the decisions to be taken by the Council of Higher Education. Make-up exams will not be held for make-up and additional exams for applied courses. Students must apply to use the additional exam right by paying the contribution fee for the relevant semester on the announced dates. A student who does not apply on the announced dates or does not take the exam despite applying is deemed to have waived these rights and is declared unsuccessful.
