PRINCIPLES ABOUT GRADUATION EXAM
(Adopted in the Senate decision dated 07.02.2013 and numbered 2013/03-26.)
In order to take the graduation exam, it is obligatory to meet the requirements for taking the final exam of the relevant course. Students who cannot take the graduation exams are not given a make-up exam right for this exam.
For students who have a maximum of two courses left for their graduation; Graduation exam is held for unsuccessful courses to be held on the dates specified in the academic calendar. Students who cannot graduate because their GPA is not 2.00 can take the graduation exam in a maximum of two conditionally successful courses they choose. (Amendment by Senate decision dated 09.06.2016/02-13)
In order to be successful in the graduation exam, it is obligatory to get at least a CC grade. The grade received in the exam replaces the success grade of that course. Midterm and semester studies are not included in the evaluation.
DC or lower grades obtained in the graduation exam will not be considered. Therefore, the grade of the relevant course of the student will remain as the grade before the graduation exam.
Students who have never taken a course before or who have an F0 grade in any course cannot take the graduation exam for any course.
After the applications are received, the applications of the students whose applications do not comply with the Graduation Exam Principles will not be evaluated and if they take the exam by mistake, the exam results will be deemed invalid.
Students with a weighted grade point average (AGNO) of 2.00 and above can only take the exam for the courses they failed.
Students with a weighted grade point average (AGNO) below 2.00 can take the exam from the conditionally successful courses of their choice. Since a student can take the exam in a maximum of 2 courses, the sum of the failed courses and the conditionally successful courses, if any, cannot exceed 2. In order to register for a conditionally successful course, the student must first register for the failed course, if any.
Students who have not chosen a course for the semester in which they will take the graduation exam, but who will take the graduation exam, are required to pay the tuition fee for the semester in which they will take the exam. (16.04.2015/01-06 Added by Senate decision.)
